Jute Bags for Packing up to 30 Kg Food grains

In exercise of the powers conferred under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, and after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, the Central Government has issued this Order in the public interest. Short title, commencement, and application – This Order is called the Jute Bags (Quality Control) Order, 2022 and comes into force from the date of its issuance. It applies to all jute bags specified in the accompanying Table, excluding goods meant for export. Compulsory use of Standard Mark – All covered jute bags must conform to the relevant Indian Standard as specified in the Table and bear the BIS Standard Mark under a license issued through Scheme–I of Schedule–II of the BIS Conformity Assessment Regulations, 2018. Certification and enforcement authority – The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the certifying and enforcing authority for all goods covered under this Order.
